RICHARD ALMASI Like the other albums in the series 'Black Picnic' offers the listener a highly unique set of compositions and soundworlds. It offers something completely new, both in terms of sound and in terms of composition. Favorite track: Palisade.

RadHaus Studios I have always enjoyed the music of Disturbed Earth, for as long as I've known about it. It's a different sort of ambient music than that to which we are accustomed. Instead of using lots of keyboards and digital effects, he goes old-school and uses things like tape delay, or live guitar and effects boxes. The end result is something the feels organic and drifty, and a little gritty. I love it. This release represents a shift to live performance-based music, and is just great!

about

Black Picnic is the first in a 7 album series using my new technique of all "one take" live playing through 2 Vox Pathfinder 10 Watt amps, lots of pedals and recorded with Core-Sound binaural mics.
